Journals & Newsletters
Since the mid-noughties, I have designed the quarterly Journal for BIDA - The British International Doctors' Association. Originally formed to support Doctors who had come to the UK from overseas to serve in the NHS, this group has become established as an important and respected voice on many current medical issues, and continues to provide help, support and guidance to many medical professionals of all creeds. Since the start of my involvement, BIDA Journal has undergone several re-designs, but continues to be a widely-read and much-respected medical publication, featuring scientific articles with the latest updates on many diseases alongside personal reflections from knowledgeable and esteemed doctors and consultants. Newsletters come in all kinds of formats, but these days they are invariably produced and distributed online, as PDF documents. I believe that there should always be room for having printed versions alongside the virtual ones - well, I would say that, wouldn't I? Over the years I've designed and produced newsletters for a variety of clients including Tranmere Rovers Community Trust, GRC Accountants, Merseyside Waste Disposal Authority, various Housing Associations, the Friends of Chester Mystery Plays and even the short-lived government initiative promoting 5-A-Day Fruit and Veg in Schools.
